GM is planning to launch the Cruze automatic in the third week or end of January. It will NOT be launched at the Auto Expo. Company officials say that they don't want to take the focus of the Beat (launching on Jan 4th) and other products which will be displayed at the show.
The Cruze will come with a 6-speed transmission but not extra features and is expected to cost Rs. 75k to 80k more than the manual version.

Wow, that's a very big scoop!
Finally some much awaited competition to Laura DSG's.
This move could also do away the lack of bottom end punch, many customers were complaining off.

I think the Cruze needs an auto box badly, I think that would solve the problem of city driveability.

The diesel with auto box and cheaper price than competition is a welcome . Anyways anyone has any sales figure for diesel automatic of laura or the sonata?

Thats good scoop. 6Speed auto is great idea by GM but any news on manual and auto petrol which were supposed to be displayed at auto-expo?
